Sin ánimo de quitarle el puesto de trabajo a Aramis Fuster, voy a exponer los posibles fichajes de cada cual y sus razones:

Jaguar--Irvine/Pedro (Eddie renueva por un año)
Toyota--Salo/Webber (Toyota no quiere estrellas)
Jordan--Fisichella/Panis (Panis comparte yates)
BAR--Villeneuve/Button (mañana se confirmará)
Minardi--Cualquiera que aporte $$
Arrows--Frentzen/...lo mismo que Minardi

¡Un momento, un momento! A lo mejor no es muy fiable. Después de haberlo leído atentamente me da la impresión de que el artículo se reduce a un puñado de especulaciones sin demasiado fundamento. Pero juzgad vosotros mismos.

Jaguar Racing have, once again, refused to confirm Spanish driver Pedro de la Rosa's services for the 2003 season.

As Minardi ace Mark Webber closes in on the Milton-Keynes seat, 37- year-old Eddie Irvine has reportedly moved back into contention to retain his green seat with the struggling Jaguar team.

The Ulsterman, nearing the end of a lucrative three-year contract with the team, has apparently entered negotiation which agrees to a hefty pay-cut for 2003.

Meanwhile Pedro de la Rosa, who holds a concrete contract for next year, could find himself out in the cold when the Formula One™ action once again rolls into Melbourne Town for the opening race of '03.

In the wake of Hockenheim, Niki Lauda told us that all doors were open to the Milton-Keynes negotiating table: 'It's far too early,' the team chief said. 'There has been no decision taken whatsoever on either driver.'

Jaguar Racing, previously liberal in confirming de la Rosa's driving duties for 2003, have suddenly tightened up in reference to the talented Spaniard.

Speaking to team spokesman Nav Sidhu, we asked him about Pedro de la Rosa's driving duties for Jaguar Racing in 2003.

Q: We all know about the existence of Pedro de la Rosa's 2003 contract, but can you confirm he will be a Jaguar driver next year? 'As you correctly point out, he has a contract.'

Q: So you cannot, at this point, confirm him as a Jaguar driver? 'Like I said, he has a contract and that should tell you everything you need to know.'

Q: But it doesn't, does it? Jos Verstappen had an Arrows contract, Heinz-Harald Frentzen had a Jordan contract. What is it about the nature of Pedro's contract that makes it different to these two? 'No comment'.
