Por lo que dicen en los foros de Autosport la noticia, el artículo, en esa web ha ido apareciendo y desapareciendo (ahora es esto último). Os dejo lo que aparece en la caché de Google:

Richards set to bring Aston name to F1

David Richards is preparing to bring the Aston Martin name to Formula 1 after lodging an entry with the FIA for the 2010 world championship last night.

The team plans to run under the Prodrive name next year before rebranding as Aston Martin by 2012.

The David Richards-led team is the third new entry to formally apply for one of the three places currently available on the 2010 grid, with Campos Meta F1 and Team US F1 having already submitted their entries. Lola is also expected to submit an entry before the end of today's cut-off.

Prodrive's entry comes 18 months after its last attempt to enter F1 was scuppered by the ban on customer chassis; the team having negotiated a deal to source cars from McLaren.

The link with McLaren will remain this time around in the form of a technical partnership, although details of the engine package is still yet to be revealed it is expected to be a rebranded customer supply. Force India has similar ties to McLaren in the current season, and uses engines from Mercedes-Benz.

"The cars will be built at Prodrive's Banbury HQ and have Aston Martin-badged customer engines obtained from a supplier," Richard's told Autocar.

"These will be genuine Aston Martin cars. You wouldnt like to do it any other way."

The project will be financed by Kuwaiti finance, logistics and property company The Investment Dar, which formed the backbone of the Richards-led conglomerate that paid $925 million for a majority stake in Aston Martin in 2007.

Assuming that the team's entry is accepted, it will mark Richards' return to the F1 paddock for the first time since 2004, when he was stood down as team principal of BAR following the team's purchase by Honda.

Prior to his three-year stint with BAR he'd served for one year as director of Benetton F1 in 1997.

Lo curioso es que la publicación que lanzó la noticia, que es la del link que puse antes, aunque permite todavía entrar al artículo, ya la ha retirado de portada y ya no sale ni en la sección de noticias, ni en la busqueda, pero sí en su foro.

Despues del palo recibido la ultima vez, richards es mas cauto, esperara hasta el final, y si creo posible la entrada esta vez, incluso antes que otros equipos. Hoy va a ser un dia movido, habran un monton de noticias y supongo que a ultima hora de la tarde se firmara el pacto entre la FOTA y la FIA, que permitira acabar de incorporar a todos los equipos de este año, incluso se rumoreaba que renault al no entrar el año que viene en el mundial y ser unicamente suministrador de motores, es posible que lo compre briatore para que eso no ocurra, asi ocupar la plaza de renault. La entrada de Prodrive, y si se confirma el pacto con mclaren, me da buenas sensaciones, pues todos conocemos los planes de prodrive, al menos de la ultima vez..... espero que no difieran mucho...

Dos, porque Prodrive está a la espera del límite presupuestario. Creo que a los dos equipos que les importa poco dicho límite son USF1 y Campos. El resto está a la espera.

Es mas, se me pasa por la cabeza que Campos vendió su equipo de GP2 a Agag para montar el proyecto de F1.

Confirmado que entran por el propio David Richards:

We are very appreciative of the support we have been given in putting together our entry, not least by both the FIA and FOM. With the help of Dar Capital, in raising the finance, coupled with our understanding of the latest proposals to assist new teams, we now feel the conditions are right to formally request the FIA for an entry, said Richards, chairman of Prodrive.

The level of next years cost cap has risen substantially since we originally considered entering. However everyone appears committed to major reductions in future years and when one takes into account the transition proposals for new teams we are confident that we now have the opportunity to be both commercially viable and competitive. As we have said all along, we dont want to be in Formula One just to make up the numbers.

Igual meto la pata, pero ahí va...

Dudo mucho, muchísimo que a Campos no le importe el límite presupuestario, de hecho dudo bastante que reúna el presupuesto necesario para que siquiera la FIA considere su petición de entrada en el Gran Circo (o pequeño, según se quede la cosa). Salvo, por supuesto, que realmente quien esté detrás de este proyecto sea alguien totalmente ajeno a lo que hasta ahora hemos conocido (y esto me lleva a volver a pensar en Agag).
