Tiempo de Paso por Boxes: El circuito de Silverstone estrena nuevos boxes. No se dispone de ninguna estimación de tiempo de paso por el nuevo Pit Line.

"Aunque es una pista que no ha sido demasiado buena para mí, espero con interés la carrera de este año: el año pasado corrimos con el Nuevo diseño del trazado, pero esta será la primera vez que experimentemos el nuevo circuito tal y como estaba destinado a ser.
Con una nueva línea de salida, una nueva primera curva y un nuevo complejo de boxes y paddock, las nuevas instalaciones deben ser fantásticas, y creo que van a confirmar a Silverstone como uno de los mejores circuitos del mundo. Sin embargo, va a ser extraño estar sentado en el coche en la parrilla con la perspectiva de ir directamente a Abbey en la primera curva!" Jenson Button

"Será muy especial disputar en Silverstone mi primer Gran Premio de Gran Bretaña como piloto de Fórmula 1. Probablemente será la carrera más importante que jamás haya disputado y a buen seguro que tendré un fin de semana ocupadísimo. Recuerdo que el año pasado disputé unos libres y la atmósfera que se respiraba era increíble. Las gradas siempre están a rebosar y a los aficionados británicos les encanta la Fórmula 1. El circuito es fantástico y se trata de un escenario en el que puedes sentir la majestuosidad de un Fórmula 1 al trazar curvas como Copse, Maggots o Becketts.Además, este año, el nuevo trazado tiene un final de vuelta muy rápido así que será muy interesante descubrir que tal se comportan los neumáticos en la clasificación. Todos los circuitos donde se alcanzan velocidades muy altas son muy exigentes con los neumáticos por la carga que sufren en las curvas, por tanto será clave que los pilotos los cuiden durante el fin de semana y una buena estrategia será fundamental.vEn los libres será prioritario que se analice el comportamiento de los neumáticos en los stints largos." Lo de Alonso creo que es la prueba de que no se necesitan adelantamientos (a veces, no por costumbre) para ver una carrera impresionante. Alonso ha efectuado una serie de vueltas increíble, con un tiempazo después de otro, y un segundo sector magistral.

Enhorabuena a Jaime también. Sin pausa pero sin prisa.

Y bueno, yo no soy mucho de esto, pero habría que dedicárselo a cierta parte de la prensa inglesa. Esto de que les ganen en casa supongo que no les habrá sentado muy bien, pero así irán aprendiendo un poco más de objetividad.

Carrerón deFernando y Ferrari en general, por fin obtiene lo que se merece este pilotazo.

Que gracioso ha sido escuchar a Lobato tan indignado por las ordenes de equipo de Red-Bull es para meterle un collejón, que lamentable es escucharle a veces.

Mclaren al final siempre compite.

Jaime otra vez en los puntos y como no otra gran carrera como es habitual en 2011.

Como me he divertido viendo contravolantear y derrapar a Fernando con el primer ferrari ganador en Silverstone.

Gran carrera DE MENTIRA, y yo soy Pedro y ante la cantidad de burradas que estaban soltando el calvito y el Ferrarista, me levanto y me voy, con semejante pareja de histericos
Que vale, que muy bien, que hoy los escapes capados, pero son motores que sufren tambien para las siguientes carreras y había que mimarlos, esperemos a la proxima carrera, que yo estoy convencido que han preferido cuidarlo a intentar ir a por el, y con el motor otra vez a tope, no lo van ni a oler.
En fin, otra de la maFIA, que es al revés y en vez de carrerón estaríais hablando de manipulación y conjuras judeomasónicas contra Alonso.
Por lo demás, creo que ya podemos intuir la configuración de equipos de RedBull del Año que viene RB:VET-ALG y TR:BUE-RIC.
Y ahora atacarme por no ver la carrera y la situación desde la vista patriotica

Horner: We couldnt afford a team collision

Christian Horner has stressed that Red Bull made a team decision during the final two laps of Sundays British Grand Prix. With Sebastian Vettel having lost the lead due to a pit-stop problem, the championship leader was under immense attack from Mark Webber, who was instructed to remain behind his team-mate on the final two laps.

Its a team result and (the drivers were in that order) due to circumstances earlier in the race, Team Principal Horner explained to BBC Sport. Sebastian had a KERS issue we were dealing with as well.




At the start, Vettel immediately overhauled pole-sitter Webber

The last thing you want to do is see the team give away a load of points so, from a team point of view, we decided that was the best thing to do in those last two laps. Obviously Mark disagreed but from a team point of view we cant afford to give away a load of points.

When asked if relations are now strained between himself and Webber, Horner replied:

No not at all but in the final two laps it was the sensible point of view. The last thing you want to do is to see your two drivers in the fence and its probably how that would have ended up. He should be fine with that and it was crystal clear this morning. Sebastian had a rear jack issue today and second and third was a good team result.

Mark Webber says he ignored team orders from Red Bull in British Grand Prix battle with Sebastian Vettel

Mark Webber says he is 'not fine' with Red Bull's request that he hold position behind team-mate Sebastian Vettel in the closing stages of the British Grand Prix and ignored the instruction.

Webber caught Vettel in the final laps and mounted several overtaking attempts without success.

The Australian said he had received "probably four or five" messages from the team asking him not to attack Vettel, but declined to follow them.

Asked how he felt about the team orders, Webber replied: "I am not fine with it, no. That is the answer to that.

"If Fernando [Alonso] retires on the last lap, we are fighting for the win.

"Of course I ignored the team because I wanted to try and get a place. Seb was doing his best, I was doing my best. I wasn't going to crash with anyone.

"I try to do my best with the amount of one way conversation I was having - I was trying to do my best to pass the guy in front."

Last year at Silverstone, Webber famously quipped "not bad for a number two" over the radio after winning the race in the wake of the qualifying day favouritism row, which erupted when Red Bull took the latest front wing off Webber's car to put on Vettel's after the German's example had failed in practice.

Asked if he felt 'like a number two' again, Webber said: "Not really. I just want to race until the end. Four or five laps to go, they started to chat to me about holding my position. I wanted the points but I also wanted to get some more points as well."

Vettel said he could understand why the team wanted them to avoid racing each other, but also that he was happy to battle.

"I try to stay ahead, nothing wrong with that," he said. "If you have the cars quite isolated in second and third, with the first guy away and the fourth guy pretty far away, from the team's point of view there is no point racing and doing something stupid.

"The difference between second and third is not massive but we naturally try to race. I tried to hold position. I was struggling, Mark was faster and then there was the chequered flag."

Vettel added that he could not understand why a furore was developing over the issue in the press conference.

"I finished second..." he responded when asked if the result was a 'sham'.

"As I said earlier, Mark tried to pass me, I could stay ahead. Clearly you could see he is quicker. If I would not be racing then I would just wave him past, so surely the last thing you want is to do something bad to the team?

"If it was the other way around, there is no point of course I would like to overtake Mark at that stage, so no point trying to do something stupid. I don't see why there is such a fuss.

"I think we were racing. It was not a scheduled 'I move right, he moves right, I brake here, he brakes there...' He tried to race me as hard as he could, he didn't find a way past.

"To me at this stage it is quite amusing."

¿Te refieres a la renovación? Fue después de Estambul. En cuanto a las órdenes de equipo, hoy Red Bull ya no podrá ir presumiendo como hacia desde la pasada temporada.

Eso sí, yo creo que les ha venido a la cabeza precisamente la imagen de Estambul 2010
