ON TRACK:
sears point in california is definitely my favourite track.it has everything:uphill and downhillsections,longstraights,fast sweeping bends and tight hairpins.
there are also lots of places to overtake,which is rare on today,s modern racing tracks,and is one reason why this circuitis very demanding,yet great fun to race on.sears point also offers a fantastic challenge in the wet because despite quite good drainage there is almost zero grip when it rains.

it is also different to many of the other tracks i have raced on because ,to pùt it bluntly ,formula1 cars do not race there.many f1 circuits have unfortunately been destroyed by silly chicanes.fortunately sears point has been left in its original desing as a true racers circuit ,as have many in america.formula1 cars could not race on 99 per cent of us circuit as most of them are too fast and dangerous .

teamwork is important at sears point because it is difficult to set up a car to combat the rough surface and all the brows and compressions that can make a car unstable. the suspension needs to be firm so it does not bottom out and the engine needs to be geared to ofter high speeds down the long straights ,but also good traction out of the tight hairpins.
