Los fans del motor y de Pedro de la Rosa podéis participar a lo largo de la temporada 2008 de Fórmula 1 en el nuevo Concurso Vodafone & Pedro de la Rosa.

Se harán tres preguntas antes de cada Gran Premio y sólo las personas que contesten correctamente a todas ellas optarán a los diferentes premios.

Cada persona tan sólo podrá enviar una respuesta por Gran Premio y quedará automáticamente eliminada si envía más de una respuesta.

Se aceptarán respuestas hasta el 23 de abril a las 12.00h. Se publicará el nombre de los ganadores el día 24 de abril.

Se puede discutir si el motivo real de cambiar de blanco a plata fue por esa leyenda de lijar la pintura para perder peso, pero en todo caso, el año en que se produjo ese cambio, y a partir del cual los Mercedes-Benz adoptaron el plata (luego se sumó Auto-Unión) y el apodo "flechas de plata"... es uno de los años que figura como posible respuesta. En Nürburgring aseguran que la leyenda es cierta, e incluso explican cual es el taller donde se hizo la operación (actualmente es un pequeño hotelito, y en las puertas del garaje hay pintadas unas "flechas de plata")

The Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrows were evidence for the companys commitment to competition every year and with every driver. At the same time, every victory clinched with these special racing cars and every record established contributed to a legend which has been intriguing people to this very day, and which is effortlessly being continued by the modern-day Silver Arrows which have been entered in racing since the 1990s.
Silver Arrows the words have a magic. The popular racing car designation occurred in the 19XXs. Mercedes-Benz changed the color of their Grand Prix cars from white to silver at the beginning of the 19XX racing season. Where this happened and the precise reason why have remained the subject of speculation to this day. According to a legend, during the night before the start of the race on the mechanics removed the white lacquer and filler from the W XX body until the bare aluminum showed to meet a weight of 750 kilograms.
In the decades that followed the popular name Silver Arrows turned out to be quite flexible. In the 19XXs, it was also used for competitor Auto Union. And the name resounded quickly throughout the country after the McLaren-Mercedes MP4-12 had been presented in mid-February 1997, sporting the attractive livery of its sponsor West, in which silver prevailed. First and foremost, however, the legendary name is applied to the Mercedes-Benz racing and record cars of the 19XXs and 19XXs.
