BMW change Kubica's engine

BMW Sauber will change Robert Kubica's engine ahead of today's qualifying, the team confirmed to autosport.com.

The Polish driver came to a halt on his first flying lap in practice this morning, with puffs of smoke billowing from the rear of his car.

He did not take part in the remainder of the session, and after investigation by his team, BMW have decided to replace the engine.

The change means Kubica will drop ten grid places after qualifying today.
