Acabo de mirar el comunicado de MB, y no fue Paffet quien recibió el golpe de ABT en boxes, sino Spengler.

Y me dejé otros toques de pilotos Audi a pilotos MB: los de Timo Scheider para superar a Spengler, quien ayer recibió por todas partes! :-))


Por lo visto los MB Clase C 2007 habían recibido 20 kg de lastre como "castigo" por haber ganado cinco carreras consecutivas... veremos si ahora se los quitan para Nürburgring, y vuelven a poder luchar por la victoria (parece mentira que 20 kilos "pesen" tanto!):

"After five consecutive race wins, four of them with the new C-Class, this car carried 20 kilograms more than the opposition of the same year, due to the handicap weight"


Haug comenta en el comunicado oficial que lo que se vio ayer no corresponde a lo que ellos entienden por una competición limpia, y que en Nürburgring esperan "venganza", aunque de forma "caballerosa y deportiva" ;-)

"Norbert Haug, Vice President Mercedes-Benz Motorsport:
“Bruno performed well today improving up to third. In the end, he finished fifth less than three seconds behind the winner. Mika and Alexandros, who improved from their respective grid positions to seventh and eighth, showed that the C-Class and its drivers were competitive despite the 20-kilogram handicap weight.

However, we saw some action which does not match our idea of tough but fair sport and which cost Bruno, Mika and Bernd their positions they had fought for. Prior to the final three races of the championship, the DTM will now take a five-week summer break. Afterwards, at the Nürburgring, we will fight for revenge – sportsmanlike and fair.”


Hakkinen por su parte también estaba un poco mosqueado:
“A very turbulent race after which the mechanics will have a lot of work to repair the damaged cars. My C-Class ran very well and I had expected more than seventh place; unfortunately, I was hit by other cars. At the Nürburgring in five weeks time it will be a different story.”

Ese "Nürburgring será otra historia" de Hakkinen, ¿significa que se prepara un Ben-Hur en Nürburgring? :-))

Bueno, para no mezclar el DTM con el WTCC abro este tópic para poder tratar el campeonato ampliamente. Además, como es seguro que muchos de nosotros iremos a la carrera de Barcelon en Setiembre este tópic nos permitirá comentar nuestras impresiones.
