No será flor de un día, Renault es una marca seria (no Jaguar), que tiene unas metas claras y va a poner los medios para conseguirla. Tengo una enorme fe, tanto en el potencial del equipo tecnico, como en los pilotos...

Renault are on track and muscling its way into Formula One's 'big three' of leading teams. Jarno Trulli's race engineer Alan Permane is optimistic that the 'superb' R23 chassis should lift his Italian charge to regular podiums and perhaps a couple of wins in 2003. The Enstone-based team has its sights set on BMW-Williams as it aims to nudge the nine-times world championship outfit out of pitlane's top three garage positions. 'The start of the season has obviously gone very well for us,' said Permane after Trulli's team-mate, Fernando Alonso, drove home his second consecutive podium in Sunday's race despite a heavy crash. He adds, 'We knew we had a quick car but were a little worried about reliability, the R23 has shown that it is strong in both areas and we are confident for the rest of the season.' Renault are still worried, however, about the 2003-spec, RS23 V10 engine designed by Jean-Jacques His and said to be up to 100 horsepower down on the leading F1 units. But on the chassis front, the French-owned team in blue and yellow are delighted. 'Oh, it is just superb, our car,' says the race engineer, Permane. 'It's very easy to set up and generally well balanced from the first run, we then can spend time playing with the aerodynamics and the mechanical setup to maximise grip and improve lap time.' Alan says the atmosphere at Enstone, and the motivation of the Renault ranks, could hardly be higher as the team chip away on development of its R23. He confirms, 'We have several new performance parts coming for Imola and people are working hard to design and produce them. 'The feeling here is that we are competitive enough to finish third in the championship and to win one or two races this year.' Mi inglés ha perdido bastante, ¿alguien me lo puede resumir? gracias.
