¡Atención! La notícia dice que Pedro ha sido invitado por McLaren para probar en Jerez, lo cual no significa necesariamente que vaya a fichar como probador. Sin embargo, no deja de ser un buen augurio.

P.D. Me parece lamentable que Pedro Fermín Flores no sepa que el nuevo monoplaza de McLaren es el MP4/18A, no el MP-5.

Pedro De la Rosa

Spanish driver Pedro De La Rosa, seen at Arrows and Jaguar (also very briefly with Prost GP), will be back driving an F1 car for McLaren Mercedes. The event will happen as soon as this week in Spain at the Jerez track.

Without Coulthard and Raikkonen, the team managed by Ron Dennis is relying on Alexander Wurz to do development work on the new car but a driver was needed to improve the set-up on the MP4-17D.

Pedro De La Rosa, who has recently become a new father with the arrival of his new daughter Georgina (born on last January 22), made an earlier visit to the team's Woking headquarters in January.

There are no words out to confirm if this testing session will lead to a regular testing role for the team. Last year, McLaren "borrowed" Jean Alesi from its partner Mercedes while their drivers were in between Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur.
