Por cierto, ¿nadie está sorprendido por la superioridad de Michelin en este GP?

Fernando lo dijo en la rueda de prensa de la FIA del jueves: "en la F1, las cosas cambian muy deprisa". Pero aún así, la recuperación de Michelin no deja de ser sorprendente.

Solo un par de apuntes. La CART es un campeonato que nada tiene que ver con la F1, las reglas de uno no son iguales a las del otro. Además el año pasado en Canada, Glock se saltó dos veces la chicane para evitar ser adelantado por Oriol. En la primera ocasión solo se le apercibió, y solo cuando se la saltó por segunda vez se le penalizó.

La otra cosa que quería recalcar, es que si hubiesen hecho retirarse a Massa en la vuelta en la que se retiro Michael, este habría sumado el punto del brasileño; que quieras que no, al final puede decidir un campeonato.

Que tio mas grande, carrerón! Como he disfrutado de la carrera, de Pedro comiendose a Kimi, de Pedro comiendose a M. Schumacher............. y Alonso remontando como si estubiese poseido.

Alonso ganó aqui su primera carrera, Pedro 2º......... empieza la remontada PDLR.

El tito Michael en su línea, cuando le preguntan por el tema de romper su suspensión con Heidfeld. Dice que estaba "deslizante" y que esas cosas suceden.

Menos mal que estaba la pista seca y tenía una ventaja acojonante y estaba a punto de meter 8 puntos a su rival directo ...

Michelin ha sido muy superior por la lluvia, pero con el asfalto seco los Bridgestone han vuelto a sacar su potencial. De hecho, la vuelta rápida se la ha llevado al final Massa gracias al suelo liso de forma bastante olgada sobre Pedro (que en el tema de las vueltas rápidas, también fué el segundo).

En cuanto a Michael, tenía que tirar y tratar de conseguir todos los puntos posibles. No tenía tanta ventaja, porque no tenía neumáticos; y si se ponía a dejar pasar a todo el mundo muy posiblemente tampoco hubiese terminado en los puntos. De cualquier forma, cuando vas al límite siempre puedes cometer un error. No veo justo cebarse con Kimi o Michael por un simple error, porque son dos pilotos que no los suelen cometer y que siempre van al límite.

Al principio de la carrera no recuerdo quien se habia saltado la chicane, dejando pasar luego a los dos que llevaba detras.

- Enhorabuena Pedro, por fin un resultado por el que llevas luchando 8 años. Una pena el Safety porque la victoria era posible. Ahora no hay dudas de que seguirás unas carreras más y tendrás la oportunidad de seguir sumando puntos.

- Impresionante la lección de Alonso en agua, jamás pensé que pudiese dar esa exhibición, y no por adelantar a Schummy, sino porque a Fisichella lo humilló...... no era Fisichella un fenómeno en agua??.... yo estoy alucinando de que este piloto esté confirmado en Renault para 2007, a Trulli lo echaron por mucho menos de lo que está haciendo Fisico.

- La mejoría de los Honda es increible, ojito para las próximas carreras, que entre Ferrari, McLaren y Honda le pueden arruinar el Mundial a Alonso.

No es por intentar justificar a Schumacher, en serio, yo también cuando lo vi pensé que dejaría pasar delante a Pedro pero, según he leído por ahí, el eximente es que en la primera ocasión Schumacher no tenía dónde ir salvo fuera para evitar un toque y eso le "legitimaría" para no ceder su posición (recalco que yo no estoy de acuerdo).

Si os fijáis, a la segunda ocasión, cuando finalmente Pedro le pasa, Schumacher vuelve a comerse la chicane, pero esta vez por frenar tarde, y efectivamente le cede la posición.

Repito que a mí me parece que le debería haber cedido la posición en el primer intento de Pedro, y que me extrañó que no lo hiciera. Esta "justificación" que digo es algo que he leído por ahí, concretamente en el foro de Atlas/Autosport donde, por cierto, están alabando la carrera de Pedro, como no podía ser de otra manera.

Liuzzi dice que el tema con Kimi fué por que no tenía visibilidad en su casco durante parte de la carrera, que se salió un par de veces por ello y que intentaba facilitar el adelantamiento a Kimi deteníendose en un sitio donde no molestara. Dice que lo siente mucho por que arruinó la carrera de Kimi y la suya.

Vitantonio Liuzzi, Toro Rosso (DNF):
“It was a birthday with a bang. A shame as I was going well, the car was reasonably competitive, but I lost visibility as my visor was misting up and I could only see out of half of it. This meant that quite often I could not see the apex of the corners and I had to use the kerbs to know where I was. That meant I went off the track a few times. As for the incident with Kimi, I went wide, trying to let him by before the chicane. Probably, he did not expect me to slow at this point and so he ran into the back of me. This track is really tight and twisty and I was really trying to move over to let him by. It was a misunderstanding and I’m sorry as it ruined both our races.”


Yo diría mas, este chavalote ha impedido que PDLR ganase su primer GP.

Estoy de acuerdo, Danini. En seco, Bridgestone ha hecho la vuelta rápida. Pero lo realmente sorprendente es que Michelin haya superado a Bridgestone en mojado, unas condiciones en las que siempre se habían mostrado notablemente inferiores.

Cambiando de tema: Michael Schumacher hoy se ha lucido con los incidentes de carrera. A final de recta, la ha "liado" dos veces. Primero, rompiendo su ala delantera tras tocar a Fisichella. Y luego tocando a un Toyota, provocándole un trompo. La guinda la ha puesto en las últimas vueltas, defendiendo su posición de manera ilegal contra De la Rosa y culminando su sucia actuación tocando a Nick Heidfeld.

Eso de defender la posición a cualquier precio, a pesar de ser infinitamente más lento que el coche que te precede, es una táctica rastrera de PlayStation. Michael Schumacher nos ha demostrado demasiadas veces esta temporada que su pilotaje empieza a alejarse de la realidad, siendo cada vez más "virtual". Que se retire antes de que se haga daño y se lo haga a algún otro rival.

Jean Todt: “Obviously, we leave Budapest very disappointed. We had a great opportunity within our grasp and it slipped through our fingers. It was a very unusual and difficult weekend for the main contenders in the championship. Only Felipe got to the finish, picking up a point which at least serves to slightly reduce the gap in the Constructors’ championship. The changing weather affected the behaviour of our package. In the first part, we were not competitive, but then the situation changed in our favour. With just a few laps to go it looked as though we were going to get a good result with Michael, especially given that our closest rival had retired. Our driver was trying to defend his position on normal rain tyres on a track that had dried, against rivals who were on dry weather tyres and were therefore much quicker than him. Unfortunately, he suffered a broken track rod and had to retire. With hindsight, it is easy to say that this situation could have been avoided, but there is no point in crying over spilt milk. There is not much to take home from this grand prix, but we know we have a very competitive package, which means we are very much aware that we can still take the title fight down to the wire in both championships.”

Felipe Massa: “A very difficult race for us, in what was pretty much a lottery. Given how things went, especially in the first part of the race, a point is still something and at least it helps us close the gap in the Constructors’ classification. In the wet we were not totally competitive, both on normal and extreme wets. However, as the track began to dry, we began to run very strongly, even more so as soon as I fitted the dry weather tyres, to such an extent that I set the fastest race lap. We have a very competitive package and we will fight right to the end of the championship, starting at the next race in Istanbul.”

Michael Schumacher: “Of course, I am very disappointed. We had a great opportunity but we did not take it. The first part of the race was very difficult, because we were unable to maintain a good enough pace, but as the track began to dry, then things changed. We were then the quickest cars on track and the arrival of the safety car had closed up the gaps, offering us the chance of a good result. In the final stages, we decided to leave Michael out on track on standard rain tyres, because we hoped we could hang on to a good position. Unfortunately, in a duel with Heidfeld, a track rod broke. We have five races ahead of us and all the necessary potential to reach our goals.”

Me gustaría que esa celebre joya de frase y opinion la discutieras con Ron Denis.

Lo que abajo posteo es la entrevista en ESPAÑOL que la FIA ha hecho a PDLR y no hemos podido ver en TELECINCO. Palo para T5 no han aguantado la retransmisión hasta las declaraciones en ESPAÑOL de PDLR, pero ya estamos acostumbrados a estas humillaciones.
Veremos como cambia esto cuando PDLR empiece a ganar...

Q: Pedro, great pace early when you did a lot of overtaking as well?

De la Rosa: Yes, it was a very interesting race and interesting too on the formation lap when I spun and after that I just kept my head down and tried to avoid mistakes and going off and I had a couple of nearly-offs and came back and I said to myself if you make it to the finish we have the speed to be on the podium so I just got my head down and kept pushing and the car was pretty good on all kinds of tyres especially towards the end with dry tyres when the car was pretty quick and proud of the work the whole team has done and looking forward to the next one and extremely happy with my first podium finish ever in Formula One and happy to for Jenson with his first win. Unfortunately he won the day I finished second! That is the only thing...

Q: In the middle stint you seemed to be dropping back. Did you have problems?

De la Rosa: In that stint we actually filled the car full of fuel and the plan was to save fuel and not to stop and to do a long middle stint, however the track dried out much quicker than we expected and I had to pit much earlier than I expected and had already a lot of fuel in the car and that is the only part of the race where we were not so quick and it worked out in the end and I had nothing to complain about.

Q: What was the tyre wear then? Intermediates, intermediates and then drys?

De la Rosa: The first stop it was starting to rain and I was told on the radio that it would stop in a few laps and I said I hope it does stop because if it continues to rain we are going to have problems with intermediates and they said no it will stop and so that was a very good call from the pit wall and that made us put again intermediate tyres which handled not very well and I tried to go off line to cool them and try to do all the tricks from past years to not overheat the tyres but it was drying at a very quick pace and so the call in was very good, change to the right tyres was good and the only tricky corner was turn one coming out of the pits and it was very easy to go off

Q: And then a massive battle with Michael that went on for four or five laps?

De la Rosa: It was not a massive battle, it was just that he was defending his position a little too much for his pace. He was on intermediate slick tyres and he was already doing miracles to keep the car on the track and I didn't expect him to battle that hard but because there was a dry line and off line it was wet it was difficult for me to have a go and his car was very quick in a straight line so I just waited and waited and from the pit wall they were getting a little nervous and I knew that but I just had to wait and show the patience really to go for it and in the chicane one time and we both went a little bit wide and he jumped the chicane which I thought was not too fair and the second time around I made it and it felt very good.

Q: Sorry to go on about this, but the first time it seemed as if he backed off and realised he had taken an advantage and was going let you go and then decided he wasn't after all?

De la Rosa: That nearly cost me a crash. I overtook him and then he jumped the chicane, ok, he came back and he backed off and I went into turn eight on the inside just thinking he was giving position away like he should and he suddenly accelerated and so I jumped over the inside kerb and we just crashed wheels and I really didn't understand it - it was interesting and that was that.
QUESTIONS FROM THE FLOOR

Q: (Mathias Brunner - Motorsport Aktuell) Pedro, can you explain please how you saw the situation with Kimi crashing?

De la Rosa: I was just behind Kimi and there was a back marker I don't know who it was and coming out of turn five the back marker backed off while Kimi was accelerating out of the corner and probably there was a misunderstanding and Kimi was not expecting him to back off there and probably he was looking at the mirror or the dash board there or something and it was quite a big crash to be honest and it wasn't nice.

Q: (Adrian Rodriguez Huber - Agencia EFE) How does your future look now?

De la Rosa: Well, now it is not raining it is looking better... I don't know to be honest. I was very happy to be told that I would drive in Hungary and a podium obviously is a great result and now the team has to say what it wants for the future. I want them to say rather than I say anything so I had better shut up.
Q: (Adrian Rodriguez Huber - Agencia EFE) Pedro, how do you describe this weekend as a whole and do you feel confident of getting a victory this year?

De la Rosa: First of all it is great to get a whole Grand Prix where everything works and you are not just quick in qualifying but also in the race. Having a strong qualifying has been one of my main problems. You look at Bahrain I did the fastest lap but didn't qualify that great but anyhow had to open the track on the old qualifying system. In Magny-Cours I did the first fastest lap of the race, at Hockenheim I did laps when I was seventh and finally it has all fallen into place and I am extremely happy because I thought I deserved a podium sooner or later because I have been pushing, testing, travelling and working pretty hard for last ten years and so I feel I deserve it. I feel I am in a cloud at the moment. To have two weeks now to let it sink in is great and to be here at the podium with a great team in Formula One like McLaren Mercedes, without whom it would be impossible.
Q: (Adrian Rodriguez Huber - Agencia EFE) Pedro, can you win a race this year?

De la Rosa: Well, yes, actually, it is a consequence of a good work. First a podium. When I spoke earlier I said I had to improve my performance. In Magny-Cours I finished seventh, now I finish second, now I have to improve again and winning is the next step. We are more competitive now. Why not? McLaren Mercedes is not a team that stops its development half way through the year, they push to the very last race. And that is very important to bear in mind

Ya era hora de algo así, creia que nunca llegaria. Ya se ha quitado de verdad esa espina tan puñetera que tenia pedro clavada.

Vaya carreron. Que sangre fria en su enfrentamiento con Michael Schumacher, pegado rueda a rueda sin ponerse nervioso. hoy a demostrado que es un piloto grande. Mas rapido que Kimi.

Con respecto a Button, aunke el kaiser y alonso hubiesen terminado, el ingles ganaba la carrera, asi que no se le puede reprochar nada a pedro en ese sentido.

Alonso es un puto jabato, como ha salido, que repaso le ha metido a Schumacher, pero no es solo eso, sino la cantidad de adelantamientos que ha relaizado hasta superarle. Es un campeon. Schumacher en su linea. Parecia dispuesto a pegarse con alonso y pedro con tal de no ser adelantado. Ha cometido un error parecido al de kimi el año pasado, tenia que haber entrado a por gomas lisas y conseguir 1 ó 2 puntos antes que abandonar por averia. Pero bueno, una bolsa de aire para el Nano.

Felicidades Pedro, te lo mereces. La carrera mas emocionante para mi este año. He saltado, reido, gritado, sudado, y casi llorado.

Pedro de la Rosa ha terminado hoy las 70 vueltas del Gran Premio de Hungría en 2º lugar, obteniendo su primero podio de toda su carrera profesional en la Fórmula 1, en su cuarta carrera para el equipo McLaren Mercedes. Kimi Raikkonen se retiró en la vuelta 26 cuando colisionó con Vitantonio Liuzzi, causando que el Safety Car saliera a pista. Pedro tenía una estrategia de tres paradas, entrando a boxes en las vueltas 16, 26 (nada más salió a pista el Safety Car) y 51. Kimi entró a boxes en la vuelta 17. Con la lluvia haciendo acto de presencia toda la mañana en Hungaroring, casi toda la carrera se celebró en condiciones mojadas. Kimi ahora es quinto en el Campeonato de Pilotos con 49 puntos, y Pedro 12º con 10 puntos. Juan Pablo Monotoya es séptimos con 26 puntos, y McLaren Mercedes está tercero en el campeonato de Constructores con 85 puntos. La Fórmula 1 ahora comienza un descanso de tres semanas sin actividades en las pistas hasta el Gran Premio de Turquía que se disputará a finales de agosto, no obstante, el desarrollo del MP4-21 continuará intensivamente en Woking, Brixworth y Stuttgart.

Pedro de la Rosa: "Estoy muy contento por haber conseguido mi primero podio de Fórmula 1 hoy, y conseguir ocho puntos para el equipo es genial, ya que hemos trabajado muy duro para esto. Ha sido una carrera muy interesante con esas condiciones de mojado, así que sólo intenté tener mi cabeza centrada, avanzar hacia adelante y mantenerme alejado de los problemas, y sabía que teníamos la velocidad para terminar en el podio. Los neumáticos Michelin han rendido muy bien hoy en todas las condiciones, especialmente los neumáticos secos del final. En la sección media nos retrasamos un poco porque iba muy cargado de combustible, y queríamos conservar esto y seguir tan adelante como fuera posible, pero al final las condiciones del circuito cambiaron, y paramos en boxes antes por los neumáticos. Ha sido una gran sensación, y ha sido gracias a todo el equipo que hemos podido conseguir estoy hoy".

Kimi Raikkonen: "No pude hacer nada para evitar la colisión con Liuzzi. Él iba demasiado lento en la línea de la pista y no podía ir a ningún otro lugar que no fuera detrás de él. El inicio de la carrera ha sido muy buena para mí con mi primer juego de neumáticos Michelin que funcionaban muy bien, pero después de la primera parada me estaba esforzando mucho con el agarre de las de delante, y como resultado Fernando Alonso pudo lograr el liderazgo. Nunca es bueno terminar la carrera de esa manera especialmente cuando tenía muchas oportunidades de ganar, pero tan sólo tenemos que seguir hacia adelante, y realmente aprecio el gesto de Liuzzi de venir a disculparse. Bien hecho para Pedro por su actuación tan competitiva".

Ron Dennis: "Quisiera felicitar a Pedro por una conducción tremenda, medida y efectiva hoy, obteniendo un estupendo segundo lugar. El equipo y yo estamos personalmente encantados con él, y es más que un merecido resultado, lo que demuestra la calidad de competición de un gran piloto. Respecto a la carrera, admito que fue muy emocionante de ver, aunque se tiñó un poco de decepción el haber perdido a Kimi de esa manera. Comprensiblemente, sentimos que la victoria en la carrera se nos ha escapado".

Norbert Haug: "Una actuación de primera clase de Pedro, dominando las complicadas condiciones durante la carrera. Su segundo lugar está bien merecido, y se mantuvo calmado durante cada circunstancia. Es una lástima que Kimi se retirara después de aquel malentendido seguido de la colisión con Vitantonio Liuzzi, que disminuía su velocidad para dejar que Kimi pasara. Ahora continuaremos trabajando durante el descanso del verano, esforzándonos para mejorar más nuestro paquete, y queremos demostrar nuestra tendencia de mejorar en el próximo Gran Premio de Turquía. Felicidades a Honda y a Jenson Button por su primera victoria".
