La edicion de gpl de 2004 es la version original con actualizaciones graficas y los parches ya instalados.

Como decimos en mi pueblo: pues na más que por eso, ahí va mi crónica: Una carrera horrible por mi parte. Nada me salió bien y, por alguna extraña razón que no consigo adivinar, estuve todo el tiempo desconcentrado, no me concentré en el pilotaje ni en entrenos ni en carrera. De todas formas, todo es peor tras un abandono que siempre produce mucha pena, aunque desde aquí quiero librar a Manel de toda culpa, son simples lances que pasan. Era una zona peligrosa para pasar, sí, pero no tenía más remedio que buscar el hueco porque había conseguido más velocidad que yo, yo por mi parte lo único que podía hacer era dejarle sitio pero... a esas velocidades y en tal curva un pequeño deslizamiento y fuera. No es culpa de Manel, así son las carreras. Por otra parte, tras el toque, no tuve ningún golpe brusco y mientras me deslizaba marcha atrás cuesta abajo estaba deseando parar para darme la vuelta y continuar ya que estaba convencido de que el coche no estaba dañado y podría acabar sexto pero... al parecer choqué contra el hombre invisible y estalló el motor. Adiós carrera. Como digo, los entrenos me fueron fatal y no conseguí quedar contento con ninguna vuelta. A pesar de todo logré un treinta y cinco bajo, muy poco peor de lo que aspiraba así que, bueno, me conformé con P8 y me encomendé a mi supuesta regularidad. La salida me fue genial, adelanté a muchos sin arriesgar ni nada especial, simplemente por el empuje del coche y por suerte de tener buen sitio para las trazadas. Así, al pasar por meta iba ¡cuarto! Bien, tenía por delante a mi compañero Memo a un segundo y por detrás creo que a Mardor a la misma distancia. Rodé cómodo en esa posición varias vueltas hasta que apareció por mis retrovisores Danich. Pronto estaba presionándome y, tras unas vueltas, al mirar la pizarra y comprobar que tan sólo quedaba completar una vuelta para poder puntuar me desconcentré más aún y además era cuando más cerca le tenía así que en la frenada para la Tosa fallé, me fui largo y me pasó. Ahora tenía detrás a Manel que muy pronto estaba a mi altura. Por suerte comprobé que, salvo que cometiera algún error no conseguía mi rebufo, y así rodamos juntos durante muchas vueltas. La pena es que yo ayer estaba muy fallón y me las veía y me las deseaba para mantenerle detrás. En fin, en una de éstas, al llegar a Acque Minerali nos econtramos dos coches prácticamente parados. Supuse que era un accidente entre varios de los que rodaban por delante. Superé a uno que estaba por la hierba (creo que BlackJack) y con mucha precaución intenté pasar al otro (creo que Dido) pero no pudo ser pues se recuperó muy bien. Así, ahora tenía detrás a BlackJack, pero se lo puse fácil: otro fallo en Tosa y pasó adelante. Volvía a tener que vérmelas con Manel. La cosa siguió como anteriormente hasta que por fin me cogió un buen rebufo tras Tamburello y buscó el interior de la Tosa. Le dejé todo el sitio que pude y, cuando ya pensaba que me había superado, se cruzó su coche frente al mío y nos tocamos, por suerte sin daños. Caballerosamente me dejó pasar y vuelta a empezar. En seguida ya estaba en mi trasera de nuevo así que, viendo que mis neumáticos empezaban a fallar y que era mucho más rápido que yo estaba empezando a considerar dejarle pasar en cuanto lo intentara. Pero no me dio casi tiempo a tomar la decisión porque ya rodábamos en paralelo hacia la frenada de Rivazza... con el resultado que ya sabéis. En fin, lo dicho, muy mala carrera por mi parte, quizá a que inconscientemente me creía mejor de lo que soy en Ímola debido al espejismo de la temporada anterior o quizá, simplemente, porque no conseguí concentrarme como en otras ocasiones. Repito: Manel, no pasa nada: that’s racing. Enhorabuena a Danich en una exhibición como la de Zandvoort III y a mi compañero Memo por esa pole y podio que vienen muy bien para SPR toda vez que los cuñaos estamos hechos unos desastres. pues para no perder las buenas costumbres aqui os dejo una vuelta al circuito de monaco.... el de 1.967 claro esta.
viniendo acelerando desde la horquilla subiremos marchas hasta conseguir llegar en cuarta a las rascasse... no por mucho tiempo ya que rapidamente pisaremos freno, modularemos el acelerador, reduciremos a tercera, y en muchos casos a segunda para negociar el comienzo de la subida hacia el casino... revolucionando al maximo y evitando a ser posible los bordillos que conforme aumenta la velocidad mas estrecha hacen la trazada correcta. Nada mas poner cuarta de nuevo debemos pisar freno, cambiar a tercera para cerrarnos lo mas que podamos en la entrada a izquierdas a la plaza del casino, una curva que se hace larga..larga, ya que es dificil volver a pisar el acelerador todo lo que desearias... aunque estas ganas se pierden rapidamente al tener que volver a bajar marchas para cerrarnos hacia la derecha en la bajada que empezamos hacia la parte mas revirada y lenta del circuito, la que nos dirige hacia el GRAND HOTEL. En la bajada esquivaremos la protuberancia de alcantarilla que dejamos a nuestra izq. para cambiar a tercera, frenar y bajar a segunda, primera y rapidamente meter el morro en una cerrada a derechas.. la tipica curva de montoneras en este circuito (este año algun coche rojo perdio la bigotera alli mismo, Xdddd). Enderezamos el coche lo antes posible para simulando un pinball trazar de bordillo izq. a bordillo dcho. pero sin subirnos EH ¡¡¡ y aparecemos con la curva mas lenta y agonizante del mundial... de ahora y de siempre, la del hotel. Nos olvidamos por completo de las balas de paja que nos llaman alla enfrente y tiramos de la palanca para bajar en segunda hacia la doble a derechas que nos llevara hacia... el mar o hacia el tunel, en el que entramos despues de acelerar desde primera a la salida de la segunda curva antes citadas. Ahora viene lo mejor del circuito, el semigiro a derechas que atraviesa el tunel y que se va cerrando escupiendote hacia el murito de piedra y/o bordillo al que si te acercas y lo tocas es muy posible que te escupa hacia... una muerte segura (o un reinicio no deseado segun se mire)huyendo de él deberemos pegarnos lo más posible a la pared rocosa que queda en nuestra derecha a la que nos acercaremos en cuarta y acelerando para, segun la destreza y los cuajos del pilotillo, reducir y frenar antes o despues del perceptible desnivel que nos lleva directos a la "chicane" del puerto... patrocinada por "funerarias LA ESPERA" ya que si dudas un solo instante en tomarla lo más posible es que ya directamente no la tomes, si no que te la comas con alguna parte del monoplaza. Al acercarnos en tercera al pequeño hueco que hay entre bordillo y baliza enfrente debemos tensar la direccion para aguantar el rebote al comernos la esquina del adoquin, indispensable para hacer buenos tiempos en este circuito, llevando las revoluciones a tope hacia la curva a derechas de TABAC... en el que antiguamente habia un estanco, y curva en la que FANGIO se salvo de un accidente brutal por detectar al publico mirando hacia el otro lado en vez de mirar desde donde el venia. Esta diabolica curva a derechas es suficientemente salvaje para que siempre pienses que la podias haber tomado mas deprisa, hasta que el siguiente giro en el que pretendes buscar el limite... ella se encarga de recordartelo contra el muro (se lo pueden preguntar a RALF despues de dejar su toyota estampado alli este año). Lo siguiente es intentar ganar algun tiempo perdido en alguna de las trampas del circuito acercandonos a tope hacia la horquilla... ANTONI NOGUES creo que se llama, lugar en donde este ultimo GP de Monaco Barrichello certifico que su relación con ferrari y más bien con el Kaiser habia dejado de ser..hummm... amistosa. La frenada en una ligera curvatura hacia la izq. en sentido contrario a la que tomaremos la horquilla nos hace sudar para mantener estable la trasera, ya que tendera a regalarnos con un trompo a la contra o con un recto directos hacia la paja, tambien nos complicara la vida a la hora de poder negociar el giro de 180º en disposicion de poder acelerar a tope lo antes posible y marcar un crono medianamente aceptable despues de haber pasado por uno de los trazados mas emblematicos, dificiles y estrechos de todas las epocas de la formula uno..... Se admiten enmiendas a la totalidad, más que nada para mejorar mi PB que lo tengo fatal..... Se me olvidaba comentar que es la siguiente carrera del campeonato.. y una de las que espero con mas ganas, y no porque me guste especialmente el circuito...si no porque es uno de los retos del GPL, conseguir acabar una carrera en Montecarlo ¡¡¡¡¡¡ -------------------- lo esencial es la primera vuelta, el resto es concentración.
