Efectivamente, a todas luces la contratación de Heiki responde a intereses extradeportivos, yo así lo creo. Otra cosa es que con el tiempo el chaval de la talla para McLaren, pero le auguro un año complicado.

Salduos.

Jerez, Spain, Thursday 10th January 2008: Lewis Hamilton drove the team’s 2008 Formula 1 car, the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-23 for the first time today at the Jerez circuit. Lewis left the garage at 09:10 and completed over 456kms and 103 laps during the course of the day.

Lewis joined his new teammate, Heikki Kovalainen at the Spanish circuit for the first of four days of testing over the coming week. Heikki also passed the 100 lap mark, as the Finn clocked up a total of 101.

Following yesterday’s session, which saw Heikki and test driver Pedro de la Rosa take both MP4-23 chassis for their initial runs, work at the test saw Lewis and Heikki continue to focus on both drivers and team familiarising themselves with the 2008 challenger. Yesterday was the first time in the history of the team that it had completed two chassis for the first day of testing.

Lewis and Heikki will remain in Jerez for the final day of the week tomorrow, Friday. Pedro and fellow test driver Gary Paffett will take over testing duties on Monday with Lewis and Heikki returning to the wheel for the final two days of the session on Tuesday and Wednesday.

LEWIS HAMILTON
"It was fantastic to get my hands on the MP4-23 this morning in Jerez. I saw the completed car for the first time on Monday at the team's launch in Stuttgart and I have been pretty impatient since then! My first run was at 09:10 and my first impressions are encouraging. I covered over 103 laps, which is 456kms, today. Considering this is only the second day the car has been on track, I am pretty happy with that. We have a lot of work to do, but now we have a real understanding of where we are starting from. I will be back in the MP4-23 with Heikki tomorrow and I am looking forward to continuing the programme and moving forward."

HEIKKI KOVALAINEN
"Today was my second day with the MP4-23 and I have now been able to complete over 447kms in total. We are all still spending time learning about the car and starting to get used to it. That we were on track for 204 laps in total today is definitely helping us to learn and progress with the car. For me in particular the car is very different from last year, and I have been focusing on that side of things. Settling into the team has been very easy, and I am looking forward to continuing our preparations for Melbourne next Tuesday."

The track is really wet. The rain is has (almost) stopped). The expectation is that the rain will disappear overday but little running is expected in the morning. There are already talks about a fourth testday. This will be discussed with all the teams at the end of the day.

Some drivers have done their installation laps already, on rain tyres that is.

6 liveries for Williams

14/01/2008

Today, to inaugurate the start of Williams' thirtieth year of Formula One racing, the team will unveil the first of six winter test liveries designed to celebrate a sequence of landmarks that will take place when the 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship gets underway in March later this year.

As the two FW29B interim cars roll out at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit to start the team's preparation and testing for 2008, the car livery will include references to the company's 30th year of racing and its 500th entry in a Formula One Grand Prix, a milestone that will be recorded at the Turkish Grand Prix this season. In addition, the team will record its 50,000 racing lap during the forthcoming year, potentially during the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona assuming both FW30s demonstrate a complete finishing record to this point in the season.

In addition to these company milestones, the Monaco Grand Prix will be Frank Williams' 600th Formula One Grand Prix as an entrant, and with a personal record that will span 39 years (and only 23 races missed in almost four decades), he will become the sport's longest enduring entrant, surpassing the record of the legendary Enzo Ferrari.

The team will release its second winter livery at the Valencia test next week, which is also scheduled to be the first run for the team's 2008 race car, the FW30, which will make its track debut on Tuesday, January 22, 2008.

In total, six themed liveries will be run across the two month winter testing campaign in Spain prior to the team's full racing colours being released prior to the season's inaugural race in Melbourne, Australia on March 16, 2008.

Williams laps raced: 49,634
Williams GPs contested: 495
Frank Williams F1 entries: 594
Enzo Ferrari F1 entries: 441
Ken Tyrrell F1 entries: 418
Colin Chapman F1 entries: 301
Enzo Ferrari length of service 1950 to 1998, 38 years

Respecto a esa pagina de motor21.com, creo que Alonso no está, ya que si estuviese, see supone que habría alguna foto suya, por el tema del cambio de equipo...y ¡Porque es bicampeón, co*o!
