Sé que ahora estamso con todo el "éxtasis" del campeonato, pero quería comentaros que tengo intención de ir a Montmeló el 15 de noviembre a los entrenamientos de F1, siempre y cuando tenga a alguien con quien compartir los gastos de gasolina y entrene Pedro. Yo saldría desde Madrid. Si alguen se apunto que escriba.
Mi plan sería salir el jueves o miércoles de madrugada para estar en Montmeló a las 10 de la mañana, y a las 17, cuando acabase la sesión, volver para Madrid.

Luca Filippi will get a test with Honda in the wintermonths. When and where it will take place is yet unknown.

Filippi is said still to be to Ferrari's interest but his first F1 experience will be with another team. Honda might well be looking for new testdrivers too. They've lost Rossiter during the year to Super Aguri and Klien has already stated not to be willing to be a testdriver for another year.

There will be five tests before the season.

During the season there will be 8 tests that commence on Wednesday and end on Friday. For the Grand Prix drivers there's some more time between a Grand Prix and a testsession (compared with this years' Tuesday - Thursday schedule).

There will be three tests after the season.

On top of that there will be four one day tests for rookies (the definition of a rookie here is a driver that hasn't been in the car for more than four days in the past 24 months, regardless of whether this was during a test or GP-weekend). The maximum amount of testing kilometres is again 30.000 but these four days will not count for that. There is a special maximum of 350 km for this per day.

Furthermore, as far as I'm aware, the testrules, agreed upon by the teams themselves, have remained unchanged.

It turns out btw that Dennis wanted to do away with all the big tests during the inseason. For obvious reasons: up till now McLaren has the best simulator of all the teams and a testban during the season would harm McLaren little in comparison with the others.

Apperantly all constructor teams have shown their interesm to test at the circuit during the last week of January or the first week of February.

Meanwhile, it is announced that Van der Garde will test for Force India at Barcelona in November and the Dutchman said there's another testday, at Jerez a month after, reserved for him as well.

To add to what is written in my post above.

Here are the main (cost reducing) points of the testagreement the teams agreed on early October 2006, which I believe has remained unchanged:

* No more than 300 sets of tyres are allowed to be used within the 30.000 km limit.

* At each test during the in-season it is not allowed to test with more than one car.

* During the in-season there will be eight three-days tests. Between the end of the season and the end of the year, there will be two more three-days tests.

* In case a team decides not to take part in on of these official tests, they can still test on their pre-chosen 'home-circuit'. But then they have to work without Bridgestone's people and the support of the tyre company. (Two teams testing at a track is enough to get the support).

* Before the start of the season every team is allowed to do three days of private testing, for instance to present the car to the press, or for filming activities. Bridgestone will supply tyres for pr-work and demonstrations but the specification of the tyre will not be a current or new one.

* Each team is allowed to do 12 days of aerodynamic straight-line testing (50 km maximm for each day).

* Each team is allowed to carry out a shakedown (50 km maximum) before a Grand Prix.

Michael Schumacher pilotará el Ferrari F2007 en los test programados para mediados de este mes en el Circuit de Catalunya.

Sin embargo, a pesar de los insistentes rumores, el siete veces Campeón del Mundo ha desmentido que pueda convertirse en el sustituto de Fernando Alonso en McLaren Mercedes la próxima temporada.

Pero lo que sí se supo ayer lunes es que el alemán, que fue piloto de Ferrari entre 1996 y 2006, se pondrá al volante del F2007 la próxima semana en el Barcelona.


Schumacher explicaba ayer en Valencia, donde rodó a los mandos de la Ducati de MotoGP, que su test con el F2007 no será por pura diversión, sino que intentará aportar su granito de arena en el programa de desarrollo del equipo de cara a la supresión del control de tracción el próximo año.

"Estoy contento de poder ayudar al equipo," reconoció Schumacher.

Chandhok to test with Red Bull Racing

India's Karun Chandhok will have a two-day test with the Red Bull Formula One team in Barcelona next week, the driver said in a statement on Tuesday.

Chandhok, who scored his first victory at Formula One's GP2 support series at Spa in Belgium earlier this year, is aiming to follow in the footsteps of Narain Karthikeyan, who became the first Indian to drive in F1 in 2005 when he raced for Jordan.

Karthikeyan is currently a test driver with Williams.

"It really is a dream come true for me," Chennai-born Chandhok said.

Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner said in the statement that Chandhok had shown steady improvement.

"His progress in GP2 this year has been clearly evident, culminating in a win at Spa," said Horner.

"Barcelona presents a good opportunity to put Karun in one of the cars, as our regular test driver Sebastien Buemi will be competing in the Macau F3 race," he added.

There is surging interest in the sport in India after business tycoon Vijay Mallya's takeover of Spyker, which has been renamed Force India Formula One team.

India is also due to host a Grand Prix in 2010.

Icreíble que a este tío le den la oportunidad de probar con un equipo de F1 cuando Borja García le ha superado clarísimamente esta temporada en Durango, y con peor material que Chandhok, según Borja. Indignado!

Por algún lado (Autosport o F1-Live) he leído una entrevista a LH, donde decía que seguramente iría a los test de Jerez, pero no a los de Barcelona... eso significa que igual tenemos a Pedro los tres días en Barcelona (del 13 al 15 de noviembre) ;-)

En la web de McLaren todavía no aparecen los pilotos que habrá cada día, pero habrá que ir para allà ;-)

No estaría mal alguna pancarta enfrente del box de McLaren reivindicando a Pedro como piloto titular 2008, y la pareja Hamilton-Pedro... a ver si ayudamos a Dennis y Cia a que "vean la luz" de una puñetera vez ;-)

Eso sí puedes ir a cualquier zona del Circuit excepto padock o pis box y ... tampoco a la curva de la Caixa ya que es tribuna VIP...

Pero si no has ido nunca en un test, veras como puedes apreciar muchisimas cosas, te lo recomiendo.

Y creo que las entradas estaban en 3 o 5 eurillos (que manda güebs cuando siempre había sido gratuito... pero claro antes ivamos 4 gatos)

Yo voy, pero no se que dia iré, lo que si haré es ir por la mañana, con unos bocatas, porque por la tarde no creo que rueden mucho, la luz se va muy pronto ya....
Lo que si que podríamos hacer, es una pancarta nombrando al foro, y los que vayamos, encontrarnos y charlar un rato....
