Ójala pueda conseguir buenos resultados con Durango porque se lo merece, es un buen piloto y lo que hizo la temporada pasada en World Series llegando rebotado como llegó tiene mucho mérito. Yo tenía mis dudas con respecto a Borja pero me ha convencido en esta última temporada.

Roldan Rodriguez tampoco lo está haciendo del todo mal. Creo que puede sorprender una vez pasada la mitad de la temporada.

Javi Villa muy bien. Esperemos que pueda mantener este nivel durante los fines de semana de Gran Premio. Tiene buena pinta.

Andy Soucek el más decepcionante quizás, porque yo esperaba más incluso de él que por ejemplo de Roldán Rodríguez.

Lucas di Grassi has finished this morning's test session at Circuit Paul Ricard as the fastest driver, with a best laptime of 1:10.464. The Brazilian posted his time at the end of a frantic final hour, beating Nicolas Lapierre's previous best by over half a second.

Today's session began on a damp track following overnight rain, but despite only light winds, the clouds around the track soon departed, leaving soft sunshine to beat down on the slowly drying asphalt.

The Dams duo of Lapierre and Nakajima were consistently quick throughout the session, as were the iSport duo of Zuber and Glock, whose times were eventually left trailing in the final flurry of activity as the dry track allowed a sudden window of slick running.

The track in use today is all about speed, and today will mostly be used for aero mapping runs, for the teams to better understand the new aero kit for 2007, and this morning saw many teams experimenting with the new rear wing assembly. Campos Grand Prix, in particular, played around with what appeared to be a Monaco style set-up on their rear wing, a possible reason (coupled with the weather) for yesterday's pace setter Giorgio Pantano finishing this morning's session dead last.

Lucas di Grassi has maintained his morning momentum by setting the fastest lap of the afternoon session at Circuit Paul Ricard.

The top four drivers were covered by just 0.3 seconds in an incredibly close final session of the first GP2 series test of 2007, with ART Grand Prix and iSport International dominating proceedings.

Perhaps dominating is too strong a word however, for while the top four positions were locked out by the current champions and the team many expect to be their closest rivals in 2007, the top 20 drivers were covered by just one second at the close of play today. This figure is an incredible feat when one considers that it was only yesterday that the field of 2007 got their hands on their new cars to test them for real for the first time.

With expectation already high for the forthcoming season, these kind of close test times will only serve to lift spirits yet higher.

Viendo los tiempos parece que va a estar calentita la gp2.Los veinte primeros en un segundo.
Cada dia soy mas optimista con Borja,como Pedro no va a correr este año voy a centrar todo mi apoyo en Borja, a ver si consigue buenos reesultados y lo temos en f1 dentro de poco.

Albert Costa ha llegado. El piloto catalán tiene todo para ser unos de los chavales a seguir este año. Es lo que podemos decir después de su excepcional resultado en los tests colectivos de hoy.

Por la mañana Costa todavía en periodo de aclimatación a su Dallara F304-Mugen y al circuito de Snetterton era 21º lejos de los tiempos de su compañero de equipo Alistair Jackson con otro coche idéntico de Double R. Estaba a casi un segundo del más rápido de los pilotos de la clase National. Hasta por la tarde...

Por la tarde ha sorprendido, al menos a aquellos que todavía no conocen la calidad del español y se preguntan quien es ese piloto en el equipo de Raikkonen. Albert Costa ha marcado el séptimo (¡¡¡) mejor tiempo de la tarde y se mezclaba con los novísimos Dallara F307-Mercedes. Ahí es nada lo que ha conseguido el chaval. Su tiempo era apenas siete décimas más lento que el de Sam Bird con uno de los coches de Carlin y estaba dos décimas por delante de su compañero Jackson en Double R, que era segundo entre los National Class.

Croft acogerá los próximos 20/21 de Marzo unos nuevos tests colectivos.

Pizzonia fastest in Barcelona test

Antonio Pizzonia set the fastest time on the first day of GP2 testing at Barcelona with a run late in the day.

The Brazilian knocked Timo Glock off the top of the timesheets, as the iSport driver looked set to complete a good day for the team, who were first and second fastest in the morning session.

Kazuki Nakajima put his circuit knowledge from a recent Formula One test with Williams to good use, as the DAMS driver was third fastest.

Nicolas Lapierre rounded out a strong afternoon for the French team by setting the sixth fastest time, while Roldan Rodriguez and Adrian Zaugg split the teammates.

Reigning champions ART did not repeat the form they showed in the last test, with Lucas di Grassi and Michael Ammermuller failing to make any impression at the top of the times.

Both just made the top 10 in the morning session, while Ammermuller was 11th in the afternoon with di Grassi ahead in seventh.

Buena sesión de tarde del "rookie" Roldán Rodríguez. Ha vuelto a superar claramente a todo un experto como Negrao. Creo que va a empezar la temporada con un buen número de Kilómetros lo que le hará menos costoso el difícil acceso a una categoría como GP2.

Todavía puede sorprendernos el más discreto de los españoles, hasta el momento. Me refiero a Andy Soucek.

Lanzo una pregunta: ¿Qué español creéis que destacará más y conseguirá mejores resultados esta temporada 2007? Ya estamos a pocas semanas, digamos un nombre, aunque puede que la pregunta sea doble (igual quien más sorprenda (en positivo por supuesto), no sea el que mejor resultados tenga.

El que esté en un mejor equipo, ¿no?. A priori es el que lo tendría más al alcance.

Yo creo que si tienen fiabilidad lo harán bien, son pilotos experimentados, tanto Soucek como García.

El problema de alguno de los españoles será el equipo en el que están. En la GP2 tener un buen equipo es fundamental. Aunque Borja ya ha demostrado que sabe brillar en equipos mediocres. Es una pena que la GP2 no sea como las World Series en ese sentido.
