The only one he accepted as 'superstition' or 'ritual', is to sit into the cockpit many time before the start. I think this means he is in the cockpit from the formation lap until the race finish.

It's curious. I remember that Pedro needs to have a lie before the race. It's because this that Pedro dislikes to have any interviews just a moment before the race, logicaly he's middle sleep.
