Publicado en la prensa inglesa hoy, que Alex Wurz se encuentra en negociaciones con el equipo de Milton-Keynes, también comentan que están en valoración de Juntin Wilson, pero que también les interesan estos hombres, Nick Heidfeld, Jos Verstappen y Jacques Villeneuve.

Alexander Wurz is set to make a surprise return to the F1 grid in 2004 with Jaguar Racing, according to new reports in the British press.

Despite recent confirmation that he'll keep his testing job at McLaren next year, sources say the Milton-Keynes team are embroiled in negotiations with him.

Wurz came within a few million dollars of the green-clad drive earlier this year when Jaguar were looking for a way to replace ailing rookie Antonio Pizzonia.

It came down to an offer from Woking chief Ron Dennis but Jaguar bosses said paying the fee and paying out 22-year-old Pizzonia wasn't worth the money.

But now additional sources are telling Autosport reporters that McLaren is already on the look-out for a replacement for the lanky Austrian.

Nick Heidfeld, Jos Verstappen and Jacques Villeneuve are also being mentioned as possible '04 team-mates to Jaguar's highly-rated Mark Webber.

British ace Justin Wilson presently occupies the seat but Jag chief David Pitchforth is considering a pay-driving option, he revealed recently.

The team's managing director, however, admitted: 'I want to put the two best guys I can possibly have in those cars, because that is what delivers.'

Wurz, as he signed for another season as McLaren tester earlier this season, said: 'Until the right opportunity comes along, my job couldn't be better.'
