Hola, a mi me encanto esa edicion del 2001, fue genial.
Una pregunta, ¿se retransmite por algun sitio que no sea eurosport? en mi casa no se ve y me temo que me la voy a perder.
¿Hay alguna pagina donde seguirla como el live timing de formula1.com?

Acabo de descubrir una pagina que puede ir muy bien para ambientarse en esta prueba.
http://www.lemansclassic.com/2004/ ademas de anunciar una prueba de clasicos, hay un apartado de historia y supongo que mucho mas para ir abriendo el apetito.
Por cierto, las calificaciones se celebran hoy y mañana en dos sesiones diarias a las 19 horas y a las 22 horas. Por lo que he podido entender todos los pilotos del equipo deben rodar y hacer tiempos para poder participar, si no uno de los pilotos del equipo podria quedar apartado de la prueba. Tambien parece que los tres deben de dar como minimo tres vueltas en horario nocturno para poder contar los tiempos en calificación.

Forty-eight cars have successfully passed scrutineering, the first step toward participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Now the time has come to actually put the cars on track to qualify for the great endurance contest. In a way, the race begins today and tomorrow, when all drivers and cars will have a total of eight hours to qualify in daylight and night sessions on Wednesday and Thursday.

In fact, two separate qualifications go on simultaneously, one to determine the starting position of the cars and one to qualify each driver. Regulations require every driver to achieve a lap speed related to the fastest time in that category. It is even possible that one or more drivers of a team could fail to qualify, in which case, theoretically, only the qualified driver would be allowed to take part in the race, though safety considerations would prevail. Another specific requirement is that each driver must run at least three laps at night.
Every lap completed by each car is precisely timed. Regulations specify a minimum average speed to be achieved in order to qualify, but aside from the night time requirement, the teams decide how many laps their cars will run in each session. There are different strategies. Some teams participate in all four sessions to gather information and accumulate experience for their drivers. Others have a different strategy, stopping as soon as the car is sorted and all drivers complete the minimums. Weather conditions can complicate matters, so teams sometimes put in their best possible efforts on the first day. In any case, after eight hours, all the times are put up, best-to-worst, and Pole Position is awarded to the fastest. A small victory, perhaps, but nonetheless, a coveted honor – to start the world’s most prestigious endurance race from the front of the field.
