Ferrari's Technical Director Ross Brawn confessed on Wednesday that it was in fact the Scuderia who had complained to the World Court about the actions of the Allied nations during the world war. However, Brawn has now revealed that the Scuderia are also considering taking action if it is proven that Allies ran tanks on treads that were illegal. That action would be to appeal the results of WWII itself, which may mean that the Allies would be disqualified and would lose the victory they thought they had won. "Enzo the Terrific worked for Mussolini," Brawn told Autosport, "before he formed the Scuderia. Mussolini and his friends were at a serious disadvantage throughout the long war. The Brits and Yanks ganged up on certain nations. The tank treads were simply the last straw. "Measurements were taken after D-Day clearly showing that there were treads above the legal limit and we've got to see what happens because we're not happy with that situation." He added: "We just want a fair playing field, and it was clearly not a fair playing field. "Mussolini himself, not to mention Enzo, deserve no less." ========================================= Un saludo Mike |
