BAR could be kicked out of the F1 World Championship if they are found guilty of malpractice at an International Court of Appeal hearing next week.
BAR driver Jenson Button finished Sunday’s San Marino GP in third place, however, the 62-lap race was only the start of the action.

Having allegedly been tipped off by unnamed parties who claimed some teams were running their cars underweight during the middle sections of GPs, careful attention was paid to weight during the post-race scrutineering.

This led to the stewards discovering that although Button’s 007 tipped the scales at 606kg in the first test, it failed the second test which was carried out once the fuel had been drained from the car.

BAR, though, argued their case and six hours later were told that no further action would be taken against Button, who could have been disqualified.

However, 24 hours later their joy came to an abrupt end when they were informed they’d have to attend a court hearing in Paris on May 4, as the FIA had appealed against the stewards’ decision.

But even more worrying for BAR is that if they are found guilty of malpractice they could face exclusion from the Championship, a fate Toyota suffered in the World Rally Championship back in the Nineties after the FIA ruled that they’d deliberately cheated.

Some BAR team members, though, are crying foul.

"While the scrutineers also wanted the fuel systems on Alonso's Renault and Schumacher's Ferrari drained out, we couldn't help noticing that our car seemed to attract much more attention than the other two," one told The Guardian.

The newspaper also reports that BAR have denied claims that they were offered the chance to accept disqualification from Sunday’s race in exchange for “getting a clean bill of health for its cars for the Spanish grand prix.

Me parece un tema como muy sensacionalista,y no creo que le hiciera ningun bien al deporte,pero la FIA de hacer cosas por el bien del deporte entiende poco (se tan cargando los Rallys y pocos van a quedar corriendo alli de aqui a un año o dos.)

De por si me suena raro,pero os lo dejo aqui por si alguien ha encontrado algo más del tema o quiere opinar.

Eso sí,BAR lleva unas...que si alerones flexibles,que si coches que pesan menos...ais,si es que nu pue ser...

Es una noticia totalmente impactante ,yo creo que no seria bueno excluir de la F-1 al equipo si se prueba que han hecho trampas. Pienso que seria mejor poner una fuerte sancion economica y una sancion deportiva sin llegar a los extremos de hecharles del campeonato

El presidente de la Federación Internacional de Automovilismo (FIA), Max Mosley, aseguró que Renault puede reclamar "ante un tribunal civil" la segunda plaza del Mundial de Fórmula Uno de 2004 después de que un ex empleado de BAR-Honda afirmara que los bólidos de esa escudería no cumplían las normas.

A la primera pregunta, no se consumía, se quedaba haciendo de lastre para que el coche diera el peso mínimo.

A la segunda... hombre, si se diera el caso de que los ex-ingenieros que lo han denunciado, dejaron BAR al final de la temporada pasada...

Hay un detalle significativo. BAR se ha pirado del gran premio sin chistar. No es comparable, pero al menos Minardi monto un buen pollo en Australia para poder participar.

A mi me huele que les han pillado y los japoneses llevan un mosqueo tal que por lo pronto les han mandado para casa i una vez alli van a coger las katanas (espadas samurais) i van a rodar cabezas.

BUTTON POOS AWAY POINTS

The world of F1 was rocked this week by the shock revelation that BAR's current car weight controversy was in fact caused by Jenson Button having a big poo. When the British driver's BAR007 was found to be under weight after last month's San Marino GP, the FIA investigation was initially centred around the amount of fuel the car was carrying. Now it seems they may have to turn their attention to the lead driver's arse. "This is a bit of a turn up," admitted one senior team insider. "We optimised the weight of the car around Jenson and hoped that his weight would remain constant. Unfortunately, during the race Jenson came on the radio and told us that he really needed a big shit. Of course, no one outside the team knew this, although they may have been puzzled at his suddenly competitive pace". Another BAR source says that immediately after the race Button ran to the nearest lavatory and evacuated his bowels, and that this "sort of threw all our calculations".
Whilst F1 fans in the medical community are still struggling to understand how Button might have extruded a 5kg poo, those close to the British star say some blame may lie with the driver's decision on the eve of the race to eat at a restaurant often favoured by Juan Pablo Montoya.

Claro que es broma! Me lo envio un amigo por email, pero eso si, me rei tanto que me saltaron las lagrimas! ... sobre todo al llegar a la frase que decia que llamo por radio, y les dijo que tenia muchisimas ganas de ir al ba~no a hacer caca, y de ahi surgio la tremenda velocidad que de repente imprimia su coche. Bueno, cuando al final ponia lo de "extruir semejante cagada", yo ya estaba partido de risa por los suelos...

Tambien, es que si lo traduzco, pierde el ritmo, pero shit y poo son sinonimos.
